Curt, you exhibited Boomerang Carnets at FOCUS 2016. What brings you back this year?

We are hoping to repeat the success we had last year. The industry has questions about international border crossing with high value equipment after Brexit – we’ll be there to demonstrate ATA Carnets as an answer. We’re looking forward to being in the right place at the right time at FOCUS 2017.

Boomerang Carnet, Exports, Brexit, Film, Filming, Production, Industry, Locations, International, FOCUS, Event, Networking, News, Interview, ArticlePlease tell us about Boomerang and in particular, what you will you be promoting at FOCUS 2017?

Boomerang Carnets United Kingdom, through our partnership with the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, issues ATA Carnets throughout the UK. With 25 years of experience issuing carnets in the US using technology to deliver the temporary export document as easy and affordably as humanly possible, we brought it to the UK in 2014. We will be sharing our knowledge of all aspects of ATA Carnet usage and demonstrating how easy they are to obtain and use and how affordable we’ve made them. We’ll be promoting the use of ATA Carnets after Brexit.

What was the most common question you got from producers at FOCUS about carnets?

How quickly can I get an ATA Carnet?

How would you describe FOCUS to a producer thinking of attending FOCUS this year for the first time?

I’d highlight the convenience of having a broad range of vital elements of international production in one place. I’d also emphasise the inroads we made at the show and the connections we made that have increased our business since last December. Meeting people face-to-face in varied micro environments for example was particularly beneficial.

How do you like the FOCUS venue, exhibition layout, organisation and facilities?

We are very satisfied with every aspect of FOCUS. In fact, we were so excited after FOCUS 2016 that we immediately secured our same stall location for this year’s event. The venue, exhibition layout and facilities are all nice and conducive to promoting a service, gaining knowledge or seeking solutions. We found the organisers to be outstanding from start to finish. If you want to grow in the international production industry, then there is no reason why you wouldn’t if you participate in FOCUS. They just make it that easy.

Many thanks Curt. Looking forward to seeing you and the Boomerang Carnets team at FOCUS 2017.
