ceri-morganCeri Morgan is Director of External Affairs at the British Film Institute, where she is responsible for the development of the BFI’s 2017-22 strategy and leading on Brexit for the screen industries, as well as leading the BFI’s research, diversity and certification units. Ceri is also chair of the BFI’s diversity steering group.
 
Ceri was previously Head of Media and Creative Industries at the Department for Culture Media and Sport, where she oversaw the development of the Creative Industries Council, the creative industries tax reliefs and led the Government’s relationship with Ofcom amongst other responsibilities. Ceri was also the senior business sponsor for the Positive Action Pathway, which is aimed at increasing the number of people in underrepresented groups into the Senior Civil Service.
 
Ceri has been in the civil service for a decade, originally joining as a marine scientist intent on saving the planet. She still does this in her spare time.
