Christopher Granier-Deferre has over 25 years experience working in film and television with credits on a wide range of productions, from blockbuster studio fare to micro-budget features via factual television. He has run Poisson Rouge Pictures for the past 20 years, an Anglo-French production company involved in the development, production or finance of over 30 feature films and television dramas since its inception. Recent company credits include “Happy End” by Michael Haneke, “Personal Shopper” by Olivier Assayas and “Demain Tout Commence” by Hugo Gelin. His production “Gone Too Far” premiered at the London International Film Festival, won the AFRIFF Audience Award and an African Academy Award for Best First Feature.

Nominated for a BIFA in 2009 for “The Hide” and again in 2011 for “A Thousand Kisses Deep”, Christopher is a regular speaker at the NFTS and has acted as advisor to a number of companies including the Royal Shakespeare Company and Adidas. Christopher was Executive Producer on iFeatures, Britain’s leading talent development programme overseeing the inception, development, and production of a number of projects including BIFA-nominated “The Levelling” and FIPRESCI winner “Lady Macbeth”. He is currently completing an MA in Chinese Studies at the prestigious School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and has a number of co-productions in development for the Chinese Market.
