Edwin Tan is of Chinese descent and was born in Singapore. He received his bachelor of economics from Murdoch University in Australia and his MBA from University of Hull in the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Wanda, Tan was the chief operating officer of Reed Exhibitions China, a global leader in B2B exhibitions. His career has seen him helm companies in various industries ranging from healthcare, printing, publishing, exhibitions to, now, entertainment. Tan was also an equity partner in one of the largest international printing companies in Thailand before selling off his stake. His assignments have seen him reside in many places including the USA, the UK, Australia and many countries in Asia. Tan is married with two children, and in his spare time enjoys golf and a good glass of wine.
