Alex what brings you and the Kenya Film Commission to FOCUS this year?
FOCUS has been on our radar for a while now and we heard from other Film Commissions that it is the ‘must attend’ international film and TV location and production event. Based on the event statistics and our close ties with the UK market, we find it important to be at FOCUS to connect and network with our peers as well as promote Kenya as Africa’s quintessential filming location.

What are you hoping to get out of the event and what in particular will you be promoting at FOCUS 2018?
We look forward to sign mutually beneficial business agreements and as you may know; if you want to film the entire of Africa in one location and get the real authentic feel of Africa! Kenya is the real reel deal. As our slogan states “Film Kenya….Capture Africa” we have the best beaches, the only snow caped mountain along the equator, wide open savannah grass land, climate with good natural lighting for filming, tropical and equatorial rain forest, desert, natural lighting, amenities and we want to impress and remind everyone how practicable and easy it is to shoot in Kenya.
