FOCUS will host the inaugural makers & shakers Awards

Award winners will be revealed during a virtual ceremony at FOCUS 2020 on December 14th.

This year’s makers & shakers Awards shortlist highlights ambitious initiatives, enterprising individuals and strokes of creative genius that have been the driving force for the global creative screen industries. It showcases the most ground-breaking work across the board, from production technology to local industry initiatives.

The panel of well-respected judges, including representatives from Netflix, Warner Bros, ACNE, Orca Studios and OLFFI chose each entry based on its innovation and creativity as well as its overall impact.

Key themes highlighted in the 2020 shortlist include rapid responses to the coronavirus crisis which range from production processes to community support. Several initiatives that address the mental health crisis, inclusion, diversity and gender equality have also shone through.
