Square Sail’s range of maritime services to be showcased at FOCUS

We are delighted to welcome Square Sail as a new exhibitor to FOCUS.

Phoenix at Sea

Square Sail has been involved in the film industry for over 30 years, providing ships, a period harbour location, maritime facilities and services. Their harbour at Charlestown is not only a perfect filming location but also a marine film tank with controlled water levels and green screen. Square Sail’s tall ship Phoenix is able to film worldwide at any marine location.

It’s been a busy year for Square Sail. They recently celebrated their first year under the new ownership of Shane McCarthy (formerly of Atlantic Production). They announced the addition of an extensive green screen capability, staging and film rigging, production and design. They also revealed a brand new redesigned website www.square-sail.com

Night Filming at Charlestown

Film projects this year included Tom Hardy’s series ‘Taboo’ and the Netflix series ‘Frontier’. In 2017 they are aiming to refurbish and expand their harbour workshops, increasing the space to custom build boats to individual production’s requirements.
