DISCOVER UKRAINE: 25 + 5% CASH REBATES AND OTHER BRAND NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR COOPERATION (exhibitor presentation)

Year after year Ukraine becomes brighter and more confident demonstrating its potential on the international content production market and reinforces its position as an attractive destination for international content producers.
To name the main positive changes in Ukrainian audiovisual content industry:
• new legislation that increases cash rebates to 25+ 5%;
• new institutions for industry financing;
• be-lateral treaties with Canada and China are underway.

The projects involving Ukrainian production companies and services, post-production and visual effects companies became big hits all over the world.  CHERNOBYL series by HBO; MR. JONES (Poland, Grate Britain, Ukraine, 2019) by Academy Award nominee Agnieszka Holland starring James Norton, Vanessa Kirby and Peter Sarsgaard; COLD BLOOD LEGACY by Frederic Petitjean (France, Ukraine, 2019) starring Jean Reno and Sarah Lind, cinematography by Thierry Arbogast and other titles were produced in Ukraine or coproduced with Ukrainian partners. Ukrainian films and TV series are being sold worldwide. In 2019 full-length animation THE STOLEN PRINCESS by FILM.UA Group was the first Ukrainian film to be theatrically released in China. Among many of Ukraine’s festival successes, the latest and the most significant one is the Best Film award in the Horizons program of the 76th Venice International Film Festival won by Valentyn Vasyanovych’s ATANTIS.

During the presentation the participants of FOCUS will have a unique chance to be the first to get comprehensive information about recent innovations in the Ukrainian film industry and the opportunities which they open up for international producers.
