Regions and Nations – What’s Not to Like?

Over the past couple of years , the pressure to move the screen industries out of London has been fast-tracked.
The need to develop regional centres outside the capital has been supported in terms of increased levels of investment, content funds, training funds and also development of creative hubs.
Along with the other broadcasters, Channel 4 has now committed to the regions; 50% of its budget will be spent outside of London, there will be a National HQ in Leeds with two more regional hubs in Glasgow and Bristol. The BFI has established a full network of regional talent executives and the levels of High End
Production in the regions has never been higher.
