It is clear that the market remains young, highly speculative and that caution should be exercised. At the same time, studios from Marvel to Fox are launching NFT divisions to market digital collectibles; new series are being crowd funded using NFTs and indie features are being distributed using Blockchain-backed tokens with royalties to IP stakeholders baked-in. Could the technology really tip the balance of power and monetisation once and for all in favour of the content creation community?
