PANAMA, THE EASY WAY TO SHOOT (exhibitor presentation)
For the past 5 years, Panama has been visited by large groups of European production companies who have found Panama a great location for documentaries, commercial productions and lately for survival tv shows. Because of the country’s geographic location in the tropics and the “s” shaped isthmus surrounded by the Atlantic and the Pacific oceans, Panama offers a unique flora and fauna considered by European viewers as exotic.
This presentation we will cover tax incentives offered by the Panamanian Film Law, requirements and procedures to obtain it, and other benefits for foreign Eurpean productions who wish to shoot in Panama. Also it will give some examples of paradisiac locations for film and production, as well as average costs and logistics.
The Panama Film Commission was created to promote and facilitate the filming industry to grow by supporting all kind of audiovisual projects to open new opportunities in our country. As a result, with our One-Stop Office, we have developed the easiest way to do everything related to filming: easy access to locations, filming permits, equipment rental, tech crew and incentives.
