At the heart of the Mediterranean, Tunisia has been at the crossroads of many civilizations. It has seen the richest cultures pass for millennia. 
These cultures have left us with their archaeological heritage which is counted by thousands of sites: Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans, Berbers, Arabs, Spaniards, Ottomans, French, Italians, etc.
Tunisia has a wide variety of potential filming locations that could suit all sorts of productions. Besides its varied heritage, exceptional light, natural sites, human professionalism, hotel infrastructure spread all over the territory, Tunisia became an ideal destination for foreign film production and was recognized as an open-air studio.
Since 1970, more than 250 films have been shot in Tunisia such as Indiana Johns, Pirates, Star Wars, The English Patient, The Tiger and the Snow, Anno Domini, Jesus Bambino.
