Carla MacKinnon is an animator and scholar. Carla worked in various production roles in the creative industries before taking a masters in animation at Royal College of Art. Since graduating in 2013, her work as an artist animator has been exhibited at UK galleries including the Wellcome Collection and the ICA. Most recently, Carla directed a short film for the BFI and BBC4 as part of the BFI’s Animation18 slate. Carla is a PhD candidate at Arts University Bournemouth, researching the industrial production contexts of animated documentary.
