Chantel Burrell – Film Certification Analyst, BFI Certification Unit

Chantel Burrell is a film certification analyst in the BFI Certification Unit. She has worked in the Certification Unit for over 18 years and is the longest serving member of the team. She provides advice and guidance on the qualification criteria for the cultural test for film and the co-production treaties and has an expert knowledge of co-production. In addition, she helps assess the BFI Diversity Standards applications for the BFI Film Fund, BAFTA and BIFA. She worked at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the UK Film Council, has spoken at events for the BFI Network Hubs, the Doc Society and 121 sessions at festivals and conferences including, Berlin, Cannes and Focus.
