Daisy Newton Dunn - Producer

Daisy Newton Dunn is a freelancer producer and China specialist. She has lived, worked and filmed across China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. She has worked on over 20 documentaries about the country from Pandas to Politics and from food to football for the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Discovery and various international broadcasters to critical acclaim.Paul Merton in China was nominated for a BAFTA Best Factual Series award, Chinese School for BBC4 was nominated for a Broadcast Best Documentary Series and China; A Culinary Adventure won Food Broadcast of the Year award from the Guild of Food Writers. For the past 4 years Daisy has been concentrating on co-productions with different Chinese broadcasters. Her programmes have included a landmark feature length documentary Confucius with CCTV-10, Chinese New Year; The Greatest Celebration on Earth with China International Communication Centre (CICC) and Witness to a Massacre; Nanjing 1937 with Jiangsu Broadcasting Centre (JSBC). She is currently working with JSBC again on a 6 part series about modern China for BBC World News. Daisy is a fluent Mandarin speaker.
