Dan Simmons is Head of Partnerships at Creative Skillset, responsible for developing and overseeing partnerships across the creative industries to meet industry’s skills needs.
He was previously Head of Film and developed the current four-year UK film skills strategy, securing over £20 million in public investment to support a wide range of training and education initiatives, ensuring the UK film industry remains globally competitive.
He was selected as a Fellow for the creative and cultural sector’s Clore Leadership Programme in 2014/15, and is a Fellow of the RSA.
An Associate of the London Film School, Dan has produced a number of short films and is currently trying to find the time to write a feature.
A marketer by background, before working in the Creative Industries Dan had a career in marketing and fundraising for a number of health organisations.
