Helen Johnson – Director, Talking Point Ltd

Helen set up Talking Point in 2011 to provide industry focussed training for new entrants and practitioners working in feature films and HETV dramas. Talking Point runs a wide range of programmes, including How to Succeed as an Assistant, CV and Networking workshops, Props and Set Decorating Training Schemes, Talking Point Mentoring Network and the Industry Sessions Programme.

Helen also acts as a consultant between physical production and industry stakeholders, providing research and feedback to ensure skills initiatives reflect industry need. Previously, she managed the Film Team at Creative Skillset where she was responsible for delivering the first UK Film Skills Strategy and was Head of Physical Production at the Glasgow Film Office/Fund.
