Jez Stewart is the Curator of Animation at the BFI National Archive. He has been at the BFI since 2001 working initially with the archive’s nonfiction collection, including projects on advertising, travelogues, and moving image activism. His focus on British animation and its history is expressed through essays, programming – online and in cinemas – and a range of talks. He is currently writing a book on the subject.
