Melanie is co-founder and joint-managing director of BAFTA award-winning, Kindle Entertainment, now in its eleventh year of production with Lionsgate becoming a much welcome stakeholder last year.  Melanie is currently exec-producing Kiss Me First with Bryan Elsley (Skins) for Channel 4 and Netflix. A returning cyber-thriller for today’s digital generation, it tells the story of two young women fighting a shadowy cult in a virtual world.  Currently in post-production, is the company’s first feature film Four Kids and It based on Jacqueline Wilson’s best-selling book, with Michael Caine, Russell Brand, Paula Patton and Matthew Goode. Melanie has also exec-produced Dustbin Baby, an International Emmy-winning drama for BBC One; Some Dogs Bite a feature-length drama for BBC Three, directed by Marc Munden and starring Thomas Brodie-Sangster – and mini-series, Treasure Island for Sky One starring Eddie Izzard, Donald Sutherland and Elijah Wood. Leonardo, an action-adventure series that she co-created with Pia Ashberry for CBBC starred Jonny Bailey (Broadchurch, W1A) as the young Renaissance hero. Mini-series, The Life & Adventures of Nick Nickleby for BBC One was the first modern adaptation of Dickens to play on BBC TV. Award-winning Dixi, an interactive, cyber-mystery for tweens, plays both online and on TV, is now in its fourth series. The first series won a BAFTA for Best Original Digital Content 2014, the second series won C21 Best International Digital Drama 2015 and the third won the Digital TV Most Innovative Content Award 2016.
