Nan Gourlay

Nan Gourlay has over 20 years’ experience as a production manager in factual television, commercials, corporates and more recently drama.  She has worked as a freelancer for most of her career. After leaving university, she worked for 4 years in theatre, mainly in stage management with a few stints acting and directing on the London Fringe.  Then she landed a job in commercials production working across a huge range of productions from low end ads to high end underwater commercials.  After moving to Glasgow, there was a stint in corporate film production.  She then moved into factual and fact-ent broadcast. Last year, Nan secured a drama production role, with the support of Creative Skillset’s Make A Move To Drama fund.  The scheme, financed by the HETV levy, supports people already in the industry moving up within or into drama.  She worked on Harlots (Hulu), The A List (CBBC) and Free Rein (Netflix). Currently, Nan is Production Executive with one of the most dynamic new independent production companies around, Red Sky Productions, based in Glasgow and producing a diverse range of factual programming.
