Neil Peplow – Director of Industry and International Affairs, British Film Institute

Neil Peplow is currently the Director of Industry and International Affairs at the BFI. As a producer, Neil was involved in the production of eighteen feature films and TV series. In 2008 Neil set up a boutique media consultancy providing services to clients that included BBC Worldwide, Vue Cinemas, Intandem Films and Fallon Advertising. Whilst Director of Film at Creative Skillset (2009-2011) he was responsible for creating and delivering the UK’s film skills strategy which focused on new technologies and digital business models. As COO for Met Film Group, Neil worked with YouTube on the establishment of a creator-space in Berlin in 2015. He was CEO of the Australian national film and broadcast school (AFTRS) from 2015 to 2019. AFTRS is a world leader in training professionals across a range of screen arts and broadcasting disciplines, and rated as one of the world’s top 15 international film schools by Hollywood Reporter.
