Patrick McLennan

Patrick McLennan is a London-based producer/director who has worked extensively as a journalist and TV producer in the UK and New Zealand. His CV includes periods as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as 10 years as digital editor for Time Inc UK. He co-produced and directed the hit 2019 independent feature documentary, The Ponds, which screened 160+ times at UK cinemas (total box office £85,000+ to date) and was acquired by BBC Four. It screened on the channel on May 20, 2019 and was available on iPlayer for three months. The film, about the year-round swimmers at the ponds on Hampstead Heath, London, was universally praised. The Guardian reviewer Peter Bradshaw awarded it 4 stars and said it’s ‘full of uncomplicated happiness in a way that most documentaries aren’t’. He is currently developing his next documentary.
