Rosie Ellison is the Film Commissioner at Film Edinburgh, the Film Office for Edinburgh and southeast Scotland, dealing with over 500 productions a year from feature films and TV dramas, commercials and factual. Working closely with Creative Scotland, the Scottish Locations Network and Film Offices UK, Film Edinburgh supports filmmakers with advice and facilitation of shoots in the region as well as a free location service. Rosie is also responsible for maintaining a film-friendly response across the region and works with the local authorities on filming protocols and initiatives to support production infrastructure and the local crew base. Prior to Film Edinburgh, Rosie’s roles included Development Producer for Saltire Films, Industry Coordinator for Edinburgh International Film Festival and Acting Coordinator for MEDIA Antenna Scotland.
