Susan Brand

Susan Brand is a Documentary Edit Consultant with over 20 years’ experience in TV, authored documentary film, gallery and augmented reality projects. She works with filmmakers to help troubleshoot and shape their stories in the edit.

Susan has been hugely inspired by her experience working in film around the globe notably the UK, Denmark, Singapore and the US. In each country she found unique approaches to shaping film story that she now uses with clients across three continents. Films where she consulted have sold to the BBC, Netflix, Sky Arts, Al Jazeera English, Amazon and Apple TV amongst others.

She was a visiting professor at New York University, Tisch School of the Arts and invited to numerous other film schools and courses around the world. She has been a director on the board of Women in Film and Television, a selector for Europe’s premiere feature documentary workshop, Doc Incubator and is a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
