Will Saunders is Chief Creative Officer for StoryFutures Academy the recently established National Centre for Immersive Storytelling. Funded as part of the UK Government’s industrial strategy StoryFutures Academy aims to pioneer immersive experiences across the UK’s Creative Industries with cutting edge, training, research and investment into productions. It is supported by Sony Interactive Entertainment, BFI, HTC, Sky, Imaginarium and Pinewood Studios and is anchored by the National Film & Television School and Royal Holloway, University of London .As Creative Director, Digital, BBC Studios Will ran Digital Development and Production for the UK’s leading media company. He led and launched the BBC’s innovation platform Taster and working with BBC Three, BBC R&D, BBC Studios, HTC, Google and others developed many of the BBC’s early forms of immersive storytelling. As a TV & Radio producer he has made award winning shows with; Flight of The Conchords, Lee Mack, Mel & Sue, Graham Norton & in 1995 produced the Christmas #2 hit single “Wonderwall” by The Mike Flowers Pops.
