Ali James – Location Manager/Production Supervisor

Ali James has worked in locations since 2002, with her first feature being Bright Young Things which Stephen Fry directed and onwards from there, as an Assistant Location Manager on all sorts of features from Munich, Stardust to Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland and Captain America. Since 2011 Ali has been a Supervising Location Manager and worked on a number of Disney Movies, including Muppets, Mary Poppins and Cruella, as well as Ready Player One with the opening sequence in Mexico City on Spectre being a career highlight. Over the last year Ali worked on The Gray Man, an upcoming Netflix feature where she oversaw the scouting of locations in multiple countries around the world undertaking over 70 days in quarantine in 12 months due to all the international travel. Ali loves the variety and challenges that Location work brings – you can be in Central London one day, the far West Coast of Ireland the next but recently Ali has stepped away from locations and is currently the Production Supervisor on Enola Holmes 2
