Andrew Pavord – Director and Chairman, FilmFixer
I began my career in films as a Location Manager on commercials and features in 1988. After a stint as producer for pop promos I worked as UK Production Supervisor for many overseas productions including large scale Bollywood musicals shooting in the UK. In 2004, I was approached by Southwark council, to set up and run their film service. I began developing new and innovative ways to manage location filming requests. At this time, I created FilmApp which is now used by many cities in the UK, USA and other countries. I am founder and chairman of FilmFixer Ltd, handling around 8000 film shoots each year on behalf of 14 London councils, and Apply4 Technology Ltd, supplying cloud based permitting software. In 2021 we helped create The Generator Project, a non-profit company dedicated to replacing diesel generators on film sets and at events and Set Ready Training to give less privileged people the opportunity to get a start in the film industry.
