Anna Von Dziembowska – Producer

Anna uses filmmaking as a vehicle to tell human interest stories that inspire social change. In 2018, she co-founded Safe Passages Films, a group of award-winning documentarians committed to spotlighting difficult issues that need our collective attention. Among others, Anna is producing a feature length documentary “I Am Sarah,” co-produced with ARTE and ARD and recipient of the Malik Fund.

In 2020, she produced ‘Far Frontiers’ a fiction film set on a military base in Kyrgyzstan, the film was nominated for the Nika Award (Russian Academy Award). In 2019 she co-produced the feature film “The Pencil,” that premiered at the 41st Cairo International Film Festival and is nominated for the 2021 Asia Pacific Screen Award. Her short film, “For Ofelia,” won the Directors Guild of America Award. A former postgraduate intern at Participant Media and graduate of Eurodocs and EAVE, she holds an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School.
