Gabriel Padilla

Gabriel Padilla has a degree in marketing and advertising with emphasis in digital video production, graduated from the Universidad Latina of Panamá. For 8 years, he has been an investment promoter of the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries of Panama. Among his main responsibilities are accompanying high-budget international productions for film and television, which in direct foreign investment have generated more than 40 million dollars to the country. He also participated in the organization of the Cinema Fund Competition, through which the Panamanian State directly contributes capital for the development of national cinema, which to date has promoted some 18 feature films. It currently serves the most important film markets around the world, both to promote films made in Panama, and to attract foreign investment promoting Panamanian locations for films, documentaries and television series. On a personal level, he is an audiovisual producer who mostly do service for foreign productions coming to the country. Contact: gpadilla@mici.gob.pa
