John K. Corser

John K. Corser – Senior Vice President, Production & Production Technology Universal Studio Group

John oversees the physical production of UCP’s television long-form scripted content for all outlets and platforms. He is additionally charged with identifying and implementing advances in production technologies to increase production efficiencies and expand the capacity to tell engaging stories. 

Before becoming a Studio Exec,, John was Line Producer with more than 25 years leading international teams in television, independent films and commercials. John is an expert in emerging production technology in VFX, SPFX, software, cameras and lighting, just to name a few.  He has been a featured speaker on film production, digital workflow and cloud-based production management, and a recurring speaker at the Digital Video Expo, the Sundance Film festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Digital Production Summit (NAB) and many other festivals and conferences. 

John is known for his professionalism, honesty and directness.  He draws upon the best and brightest ensuring that the projects receive the highest quality, most effective production and deliver the intended outcomes.  His international productions has provided critical understanding and navigating incentives both in the US and abroad.  He is an enthusiastic promoter of “Data Driven Production” — using machine learning and predictive analytics for forecasting potential production risks.
