Julie Beanland – Executive Producer, True North

Julie is an Executive Producer at True North. She joined True North in 2004 having previously worked making documentaries at ITV.

At True North Julie has worked as a Producer/Director and Series Producer on a number of shows across all the channels and genres including My Mums Used to be Men(ITV), The Ripper Hoaxer (BBC), My Dad’s Army (ITV), Animal 24:7(BBC), Food Fighters(BBC), Closing Time (C5) and Shop Smart Save Money(C5).

Having devised and series produced A New Life in the Sun for Channel 4, she is now the Executive Producer of the series (currently making series 6). Alongside A New Life in the Sun, Julie and her team have created spin-offs series including A New Life in the Sun: Where are they Now and A New Life in the Sun: Road Trip Round Europe which was devised in record-speed when lockdown hit the main show.
