The founders of Call It! and SMASH discuss the disruptive power of tech and how simple apps can help make film and TV safer, more accessible and easier to navigate, breaking down barriers and minimising obstacles to entry and success.
Call It! empowers everybody working on a project to anonymously report mistreatment or an incident of bullying, harassment or discrimination of any kind. Developed by two producers, Kate Wilson and Jules Hussey and director, Delyth Thomas, the app aspires to make every workplace safe and respectful, recognising that treating each other well is good for business.
SMASH, a rights and IP marketplace, connects content creators and decision-makers. SMASH was founded by two indie film producers, Fiona Gillies and Christine Hartland, and tech pioneer, Mahesh Ramachandra.
